IIDD, Try: Sunday, September 2nd

Three grand essentials to happiness in this life are something to do, something to love, and something to hope for. -Joseph Addison, writer (1672-1719)

sally & i send our condolences to you & your family. we're happy to know that while your mother grew older & was unable to look after herself, she received great personal care & support.

we hope that while you grieve, you understand that your mother, having lived to such an old age, has provided you w/ great promise for your own future life, one way & another.
we're both glad to know that you were able to be w/ her & show your love for her @ the end of her long & meaningful life. best regards, sally & filmer.

Mark,

Pat and I well start our ride near my digs (MacDonald and Point Grey Rd at 8AM) if you care to join us.

We are also amenable to meeting you at Science World if that works better for you. G

Science World at 8:00 or 8:15 would be great, thanks. Let me know tomorrow morning - I'll Skytrain in to VCC and then meet you at SW. I too need to be home by 11:00 to go to a ball game :) 8^) cheers, Mark

Are you permanently in transit from Falcon Lake to Vancouver?  Such a fate is earned by the gifted, the special, the laffin' and the learned:  y'all.
Hope things OK.  In NZ we've a lovely house In Nelson overlooking the Cut, staying also at Blenheim and Picton (not sure who was born at the latter).
Springing here.  Love.  S.

Hey all, So we are planning a surprise 60th...
Nicole Marie
Hey all,
So we are planning a surprise 60th birthday for Bella. The party will be at 5:30 Saturday October 6th at the RCMP mess. Just wanted to send all an invite so save the date. I think I'll need your help setting up before Bella arrives (we are going to tell her to come for 6 and have said it is for the opening of dads new building)!
Pat we were wondering if you could possibly MC. Just a few words ! Thanks all.

Mary Carmen Graham
Dear Patrick,
I just talked to Michele and she gave me the news about your Mom's death. John and I are sorry to hear that you are having a sad time with her passing away. Our thoughts are with you and please let us know what funeral arrangements you have in place as we would like to be with you during this time if this is possible. We send you a big hug and we hope we will hear from you. With all our sympathy, John and Marycarmen
Riders,

Great ride yesterday. Too bad the elite riders of Islay chose to abandon the peloton in favour of the No 6 Orange Street route and leave us poor domestiques to hobble thru the bush land.

I am going to ride in the morning on Monday if anyone is interested.

We are attending a Canadians baseball game in the afternoon tomorrow so I would like to return by 11AM - ish. G

Sorry, gentlemen, I have work - somebody has to. Ray
Greetings from The Kandy-Kolored Tangerine-Flake Streamline Baby!

Great to be back in the Peleton even if we had to jettison the Riders o f the Purple Sage in favour of No 6 Blueberry Hill! In fact, Sarge and I headed east on River Road, instead of trying to cut you whinegers off at the Shell Road Pass, making for New West and the Queensborough Bridge. Terrific, easy access to bridge deck and then into downtown NW and out towards Coquitlam, via a designated, separate bike path, for part of the way, on and off demarked surface streets onto Columbia. Lost our way down Columbia so turned left on Lougheed. Wide shoulder so not too, too bad, in spite of reasonably heavy traffic. Wasn't sure where to kick over to find Central Valley Greenway but did so, eventually at Holdom and then it was smooth sailing all the way home. Ended up with 86K on the trusty odometer. Same head wind which plagued us on the dike out of Steveston tormented us much of return so AVG was a 18.3kph over 4:40:58. Another reason not to record this as an "official" statistic!

However, every one should be proud of me as my feet touched the ground so often that the ride definitely cannot be entered as a "legitimate'" outing! Need to confer with the local Burnaby "scout" to find out where we should have turned, either earlier in New West, or later once on Columbia, to have avoided Lougheed. Nevertheless, a most pleasant junket on a gorgeous day so thanks to everyone.

I'm certainly interested in riding on the morrow so let me know time and route. Cheers, Il Condutore!
P,

Nice riding stats after dumping us and all with police escort. I think we need full security with helicopters and gun ships.

As you suggest, we will have to get Mark to help us retrace the route thru New West and back along the various green belts in Burnaby thru to Central Valley -- that is a great ride.

Let me know how early you want to ride tomorrow and I will provide the route and the starting gate. Gate schnell! W

Cornwall anyone?

 Hello Everyone!

Thank you for your speedy responses and generous offers to contribute to the Annual Wittwer BBQ. In consultation "With the "Shes" Who Must Be Obeyed", it has been decreed that The Island Inn Management, (Cora Lee), will be doing pork loin on the bbq while the Reviled Scullion, (Patrizzio), will be creating his fabulous Greek Potates. This leaves the rest of the menu open to the guests and I have been instructed to request submissions for the following: two appetizers, two salads and two desserts. There will be at least eight couples, one cat, (Maggie), and possibly a Freeloader Dog, sans owner, (Molly), plus walk-in trade from the path beside our patio. Please post your intentions to the group email so that we don't end up with three cases of wine and no salad! (Actually, not a bad idea!) Let the Menu Games begin and allow the kale chips to fall where they may!! Cheers, Il Conduttore!!!

Hello – quickly wanting to be one of the FIRST respondents to the group: Juhli and Fred, gypsies of the North (Vancouver)  Island, will provide Sushi as one of the APPETIZERS.
Since our move, two years ago, we’re missing some of the bright lights and delicious dining experiences offered in Vancouver. More importantly, as my little Asian spouse says “I get my fix of sushi!”
Hmm, pork loin and Greek Potates sounds delicious...
Looking forward - more and more each day, to see each et al...Freddy
Hi Everyone,

How about if we add a cheesecake dessert to the mix so that we can all watch our waistlines expand. Cheers, Bill and Denise.
The Carters will bring a "secret salad", sertain to satisfy the select souls selebriting a summer sojourn .
Looking forward to seeing everyone on Wednesday. Mick and Polly
Beet and goat cheese salad - should appeal to Fred from the culinary wasteland Ray Banks
